The First Step to Achieving Anything Your Heart Desires

Commitment

I mean commitment to ACTION (I’ll talk more about action in a later post)

Is there anything in your life that you wish you had done?

When I was in my 20s I could have gone up the World Trade Centre. I was in New York on a stag weekend (I know — my friend was very modern !!). The other girls and I got so drunk the night before that, when all the guys went off to the WTC in the morning, we decided to stay in bed, knowing that it would still be there another time. We didn’t make time during the rest of the trip to go again. And as I flew home, and every time I looked at the photos after we got home, I regretted the fact that I hadn’t dragged my butt out of bed and gone to the top of those magnificent feats of design, architecture and building.

I went back to NYC for my honeymoon and my bright and shiny new husband wasn’t very keen on spending money, so we didn’t go up them then either as they were deemed too expensive. Instead, we stood at the bottom of the twin towers and I wondered at how incredible they were and how amazing it would be to be at the top of them and to look out over the whole of New York State. The views really would have been spectacular. If my memory serves me it was a glorious day. Never mind, I told myself, they will be here forever and I will come back to NY. And the rest, as they say, is history…

As you can probably hear in the previous mournful paragraphs, I remain full of regret that I didn’t commit to going up those towers. I can only imagine now what those views would have been like. I feel so silly that, on both occasions, for such trivial reasons I didn’t go up there. I totally could have dragged my hungover body up in my early twenties and my brand new husband and I totally could have afforded the fee to go up them in my early thirties.

Have you ever got nearly to the top of a mountain and then given up? Have you ever wished that you had followed through and finished something? Or wished that you had actually got yourself going and started something?

You know, we truly are the most powerful creators. We really can have, do and be anything we choose in this life. The Universe is sat there. It’s ready, it’s waiting and it is wanting to support all of us in fulfilling our dreams and desires but if we don’t take the action, how can it possibly support us if there is simply nothing to support? — no action which tells it we are serious, no commitment.

Many years ago I heard that Madonna, as a young aspiring actress and singer declared “Dreams Come True”. I remember poo pooing the idea. Dreams just sounded like dreams. I was wrong. Looks like Madonna totally made her dreams come true.

We are the creators. Everything we have in our lives at this exact moment is the product of everything that we have created to date. Which means that anything we would love to create is available to us from this moment on.

As soon as we commit and start taking action, we are giving a message to the Universe that we are serious. We are also giving a message to ourselves that we are serious.

On Monday, I made the commitment to post live in Facebook every single day for the next 90 days. My posts will be a document of my journey. And I hope to inspire others to join me and grow into the very best version of themselves they have ever been. As we come out of the rollercoaster that 2020 has been and enter 2021, there is great support at an energetic and cosmological level for massive growth and expansion.

If you have a yearning to grow yourself and a deep knowing that you have big and important work to do on this planet at this time, I invite you to join me
