The Seven Steps to Happiness

I used to feel like The Invisible Woman.

Everything I did was for other people and I could barely feel myself in my life. I suppressed my femininity at work. I suppressed my sexuality in my marriage. I drank wine every night to numb the pain.

I was lost and shut down and yet there was a part of me — deep inside which was crying out to be expressed. In fact, as the years passed, that crying came closer and closer to the surface.

I had tried a lot of things to “get happy”. I went to counselling, I read self-help books, I went to workshops, I joined social media groups, I went out with friends and drank more wine. But that nagging sense that something was missing just kept growing.

I left my marriage — no change. I had boyfriends — no change. I stopped drinking — some change. I returned to yoga — a bit more change. I discovered Kundalini Yoga — now we’re talking. Now things really started to open up for me. I began to experience energy — the energy that is at the very core of every single atom that makes up this beautiful world we live in. And I began to experience the energy of emotion.

I was so over myself at that point. I was fed up with waking up in the morning feeling that I was a victim. I had had enough of self pity and I knew that there was more to me than I was expressing.

On 23rd February 2018, I took the first of the Seven Steps to Happiness.

I COMMITTED to a daily practice of meditation.

Turns out the first step to happiness is commitment. Without commitment, nothing can change. And if nothing changes, nothing changes.

You can see me talking about the other six steps here

The meditation I started with was a very specific Kundalini Yoga meditation whose purpose is to break old habits and make space for new ones.

On Wednesday 18th November 2020 I reached 1000 consecutive days of meditation — not always the same meditation although I am now half way through doing 1000 days of the same meditation.

It takes 40 (CONSECUTIVE) days to break a habit, 90 to make a new one; 120 days to master a habit and 1000 days to become a habit. Meditation is now the most important part of my life.

I cannot begin to describe to you the changes that have occurred in my life since I began that practice. I am now a kundalini yoga teacher and abundance coach. I have trained with some of the best teachers on the planet and I bring those teachings into everything I do. I use the Law of Attraction, intention setting and manifestation every day and I get incredible results every day.

Are you ready to turn your life around?

Are you bored with looking in the mirror and knowing that there is a butterfly wanting to get out of the chrysalis you are staring at?

Do you know, deep down, that there is potential in you that you are not expressing?

Do you want fire in your belly and to find your inner strength to spread your wings?

If you are ready to be your best self, I would love you to experience the transformative power of meditation. I would love you to feel the effects of honouring yourself with a short time for personal development every day. Your family will survive. I promise. In fact your family will soon thank you for it. As you deepen your practice, you will become more patient, you will be able to release your angry outbursts, forgive yourself and forgive them.

Meditation takes you to a different dimension and allows you to escape the physical and connect with your energetic self. And energy is the key to the castle. When you are in control of your energy, you begin to line up with the Universe and mould your life.

I am beginning a 14 day meditation challenge next Wednesday 13th January. The meditation we will be doing is a Kundalini Yoga meditation for prosperity.

The whole COVID thing has given us all the opportunity to reassess our lives. Materialism, shopping for stuff, consumption for the sake of consumption is a dwindling pass time. We are moving into a new era of different values. The spiritual, the energetic, the connection we have between each other has always been so much more important than “stuff”. And now we are really feeling that.

I did my Christmas shopping at the very last minute and found the shops almost deserted. I did the whole thing in a couple of hours and a handful of shops. It just didn’t feel important to go and buy that gift box of lavender soaps for Aunty Mabel. It would just have been nice to hug Aunty Mabel.

And we now have new lockdowns across the world. I know you love your children but seriously — joke’s a joke !!

You may be finding your patience thin on the ground. You may be finding it impossible to find space for you.

This practice will be at 20:21 every evening starting Wednesday 13th January. The sessions will last around 30 minutes and are completely free of charge. This is a space for you.

I help people who have been giving and giving to everyone else in their lives for the longest time — people who know that it’s time to step into their power and strength — people who are ready to open up to their true potential and to become the very best of themselves — people who want to discover their inner wisdom, embody that wisdom and feel how that embodiment ripples out to the people they love.

Potential never gets results. Action gets results. And committed action gets the best results. Anyone who is making the Law of Attraction work for them has set their goals, aligned with the energy of these goals and is taking daily committed action towards achieving that goal.

If you are looking for real and lasting change in your life, you need to take action and you need to take your first step towards that change.
